Checked Out is the Library’s very first staff-led podcast. Beginning with its premiere episode on October 2, 2024, this monthly podcast will dive into discussions about film, television, music, video games, and of course – books!
Listeners can expect a variety of content each month including favorite titles, pop culture insights, upcoming Library events, and guest appearances from other staff. The vibrant discussions among the hosts will resonate with teens, adults, and seniors alike. No subscription or Library card is required to listen.

Meet Your Hosts
Tessa (pictured left) is our go-to host for fantasy, especially fantasy romance recommendations, and you can throw horror into the mix, too. She is a Youth Services Librarian with a focus on purchasing new materials for the collections, which helps to fuel her book-buying habits. Her favorite reading snacks include sour candy, goldfish, and an energy drink. She can usually be found with her nose in a book or building her newest Lego set—or spending more money on books. Her three cats, Harper, Luna, and Jupiter, are most likely trailing right behind her.
Sara (pictured right) is Checked Out’s resident romance reader and gory horror audiobook connoisseur. When she’s not yapping about romance tropes, she works on creating book-related content for her own social media, curating playlists, and finding new places to eat. She always has a book recommendation on deck along with her favorite reading snacks: a cucumber and an Arnold Palmer with extra ice. Her favorite thing about being an Adult Services Associate, besides being surrounded by books, is cataloging adult print materials and helping patrons find their next great read.
